NYCPG Veteran Symposium

Nevada Council on Problem Gambling Screening Day

The Nevada Council on Problem Gambling is participating in National Gambling Disorder Screening Day on Tuesday March 12, 2024 by providing free and confidential screening at the Clark County Government Center.

Participants will answer a quick and anonymous survey to complete the screening. The surveys will be used by the Cambridge Health Alliance Division on Addiction and the Harvard Medical School, which are conducting incredible research on problem gambling.

Gambling Disorder Screening at Association House of Chicago

Have you ever worried about how much you’re gambling? It can be difficult to tell how much is too much– but catching the early warnings can mean a world of difference.

If gambling has ever gotten in the way of your work, relationships, or financial stability, join us at Association House for a free risk assessment screening as part of National Problem Gambling Awareness Month.

A light lunch will be served, and recovery resources will be accessible on site at Association House from 9 am-1 pm. Bring a friend and stay informed on the risks of problem gambling, and learn more about its impact on your community.

State of Nebraska PGAM Proclamation Signing Ceremony

Governor Jim Pillen will sign a proclamation declaring March as Problem Gambling Awareness Month in the state of Nebraska. Stakeholders from private gaming operations, addiction treatment, advocates, local and state government leaders, and others involved in racing and gaming throughout Nebraska are invited to commemorate this event.

Interactive Discussion on Problem Gambling with NY State Senator Joseph Addobbo Jr.

Walter Brooks House Gambling Disorder Screening Event

A one day screening event will be held at the largest department of correction halfway house located in New Haven, CT. The goal of the event is to increase DOC imates awareness of problem gambling and the availabilty of treatment services.

The Nevada Council on Problem Gambling is celebrating 40 years and hosting this very special National Problem Gambling Awareness Month community event! “Problem Gambling Awareness – Every Story Matters” community event is open to the public and is part of our month-long focus on Recovery and all the Stories That Matter!

Join us to learn about the “human” side of problem gambling, as peers and professionals share how and why they became engaged in promoting awareness and taking action to address this important community health issue in Nevada.

Come mingle with people in recovery, professionals in the field, and many other people and community resources!

PGAM Informational Table at Pennsylvania Capitol Building

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB), the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), the Council on Compulsive Gambling of Pennsylvania (CCGP), and the Pennsylvania Lottery will host a Problem Gambling Awareness Month informational table at the Pennsylvania State Capitol building on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 11 AM – 1 PM EST. The group aims to raise public awareness of PGAM, as well as provide educational resources on problem gambling and services available to those who may be suffering from gambling-related harms. The group will host the event in the East Wing of the Capitol’s Mini Rotunda.
