Drawing from experience gleaned from the UK’s TalkBanStop partnership, this presentation will explore the value of layering tools and support to improve self-exclusion outcomes. Self-exclusion programs are the beginning of a journey that now encompasses blocking software, treatment providers, financial services and other stakeholders which can all play a role in a much more collaborative approach to gambling cessation. TalkBanStop has been emulated in Ohio, Norway, Finland and the Netherlands, combining free blocking software with self-exclusion and bridging service users into treatment.
