Effective screening is necessary for identifying gambling-related harm, understanding severity, and supporting intervention. This webinar will introduce three tools used to screen for problem gambling: the Brief Biosocial Gambling Screen (BBGS), the Problem Gambling Severity Index (PGSI), and the Emerging Adult Gambling Screen (EAGS). Participants will learn what each tool measures, how it is structured, and the settings in which it is most useful, with special attention to screening considerations for younger populations. The session will compare the strengths and limitations of each screening tool, provide guidance on administration and scoring, and discuss how screening results can inform supportive interventions and referrals to recovery services.
