This intermediate training will introduce participants to available data related to problem gambling and provide a roadmap for how to use that data. We will discuss how to use the data to inform planning, program design, implementation, and ongoing quality improvement. But you don’t have to do it alone! We’ll explore opportunities to partner with community members at every stage of your work.

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and describe key types of data relevant to the Massachusetts DPH, OPGS Data to Action Framework.
  • Analyze federal, state, and local data on problem gambling and assess its significance for local communities.
  • Apply data—and identify data gaps—to inform each step of the gambling prevention process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in collaboration with community partners

This training has been approved to provide CPS, CAC, CADC, CADC II, and CHW CEU’s.
