National Survey on Gambling Attitudes and Gambling Experiences (NGAGE) 3.0 Findings & Implications

Our objective is to share the insights we’ve gained, encouraging other regions to adopt problem gambling peer support models. September National Problem Gambling Helpline Modernization Forum

The Layered Approach to Self-Exclusion

Drawing from experience gleaned from the UK’s TalkBanStop partnership, this presentation will explore the value of layering tools and support to improve self-exclusion outcomes. Self-exclusion programs are the beginning of a journey that now encompasses blocking software, treatment providers, financial services and other stakeholders which can all play a role in a much more collaborative approach to gambling cessation. TalkBanStop has been emulated in Ohio, Norway, Finland and the Netherlands, combining free blocking software with self-exclusion and bridging service users into treatment. Gift Responsibly: Gearing Up for the 2025 Campaign

Every November and December, participants of the Gift Responsibly Campaign work to educate communities about the dangers of gifting lottery tickets to children, raise awareness about the risks of youth gambling and promote responsible gambling practices for those of legal age who choose to gamble. Bringing Gambling Disorder Into Behavioral Health Treatment: An Integration Story

Many people dealing with Gambling Disorder are also dealing with co-occcurring mental health and substance use challenges, and yet in most states, treatment for Gambling Disorder remains mostly siloed. Over the past three years, Oregon has been developing an integrated co-occurring disorders treatment initiative that includes Gambling Disorder screening and treatment. This session will discuss Oregon’s strategy and implementation work, models for integrating treatment for Gambling Disorder into a broader behavioral health treatment system, treatment factors, program design, and broader systems issues.
