Racism of the Well-Intended: Privilege, Power and Service Delivery

Jim Wuelfing;  Arthur Woodard, Jr.

“Racism has been evident in America since Europeans first landed on the continent.  In the past several years, this topic, although always present, has been much more in evidenced as a divisive issue. This workshop will examine many aspects of racism including the defining racism and well-intended racism, privilege and power, becoming allies in the effort to eliminate racism, and our own personal responsibilities towards ourselves and those with which we work. A safe environment will be established to allow a deeper discussion and understanding of the issue.  Participants will leave with an action plan to be more a part of the solution in making progress against racism.”
