Mental Health First Aid – Part I & II

Donna Dickman

Similar to “First Aid/CPR”, non-mental health professionals will learn how to approach and help a person of concern, perhaps someone developing a mental illness, struggling with dependency/addiction or experiencing a mental health crisis. Participants will understand signs and symptoms of the most common mental illnesses and learn of ALGEE, the Mental Health First Aid’s Action Plan. Participants will leave with the confidence that they can assist a person safely and lead them to appropriate professional help if needed. Mental Health First Aid’s eight-hour training is certified by the National Behavioral Health Council.
