    Washington, DC – The National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) would like to thank the sponsors of the 32nd National Conference on Problem Gambling, which was held July 18-21, 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio.

    The National Conference on Problem Gambling provides expert training to problem gambling and gaming professionals from across the nation. Over 500 attendees specializing in the areas of treatment, prevention, education, research, judicial, regulatory, legislative, and other fields, as well as the recovery community were in attendance.

    The conference is hosted by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) and the Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO). A record $488,788 in direct support was contributed for the conference from a total of 46 sponsors, including significant underwriting from the Ohio Lottery and Ohio for Responsible Gambling. Ohio for Responsible Gambling is comprised of the Ohio Casino Control Commission, Ohio Lottery Commission, Ohio State Racing Commission, and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. All sponsorship contributions support the conference and the work of the National Council on Problem Gambling.

    PGNO Executive Director Derek Longmeier stated: “We were proud and honored to host the National Conference and help showcase the strong relationships with Ohio for Responsible Gaming, including the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the Ohio Lottery. This conference would not be possible without their vision and support.”

    NCPG Executive Director Keith Whyte said “We are very excited about the level of enthusiasm we have received from sponsors for this conference.
