Gift Responsibly Campaign Participation Levels

Participants at each level agree to complete the outlined expected activities during November and December 2023 to the best of their abilities.

Lottery Level 3

Highest Level of Participation
  • Register as a participant of the 2023 Campaign
  • Press Release or Media Alert
  • 11+ Educational Social Media Messages Posted (topics may include but are not limited to: promoting responsible gambling / appropriate age for lottery play / youth gambling stats / parental awareness tips)
  • Retailer Training / Messaging on Youth Gambling
  • Targeted Print and/or Paid Digital Ads advising parents to ‘Gift Responsibly’ and/or ‘Lottery Tickets are Not for Children’
  • Commercial (TV, Radio, Streaming) or Digital Advertising (Web, Social, Search, Display) advising parents against purchasing lottery tickets as gifts for kids
  • Editorial Pitch to media about the importance of not gifting lottery tickets to children during the holiday season. 
  • Complete post-campaign survey

Lottery Level 2

Middle Level of Participation
  • Register as a participant of the 2023 Campaign
  • Press Release or Media Placement
  • 8+ Educational Social Media Messages Posted (topics may include but are not limited to: promoting responsible gambling / appropriate age for lottery play / youth gambling stats / parental awareness tips)
  • Retailer Training / Messaging on Youth Gambling
  • Targeted Print and/or Paid Digital Ads advising parents to ‘Gift Responsibly’ and/or ‘Lottery Tickets are Not for Children’
  • Complete post-campaign survey

Lottery Level 1

Lowest Level of Participation
  • Register as a participant of the 2023 Campaign
  • Press Release or Media Placement
