• NCPG Announces Summit on Sports & Gambling

    06.03.16Keith Whyte

America has an enormous appetite for sports yet betting on games is almost completely prohibited at the state level.  Gambling poses risks for the health of the athletes and the integrity of the game.  The Summit on Sports & Gambling brings together key stakeholders to explore the issues in the burgeoning national debate about the further legalization of sports gambling, including critical consumer protection issues.  Experts across a wide range of fields will discuss the current legislative, regulatory and political issues and prospects for Federal and/or state level legalization of sports betting and associated issues.   Full agenda and flyer linked below.  The Summit is hosted by NCPG as pre-conference session at the 30th National Conference on Problem Gambling.  Additional information and registration www.ncpgambling.org/conference.
