2024 Conference Presentation Types

Apply to Present at the National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling 2024

The National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling 2024 is hosted by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). Serving as the worlds oldest and largest annual conference on problem gambling & responsible gambling, event brings together local, national and international experts in responsible gambling and problem gambling.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2023

The 2024 Conference will utilize a dual format of online and in-person sessions. 

    • Digital Symposium held virtually on February 15, May 16, September 19 and November 14, 2024.
    • Main Conference & Workshops held in person in San Diego, CA, July 17-19, 2024.
Digital Symposium & Webinar Sessions

In-depth online educational events delivering rigorous content. Each event date will be focused on a general theme. Sessions may include current research, industry trends and practical applications from a single presenter. 

Length: 30 minutes to 90 minutes

Format: Virtual, Live

Date: Digital Symposium sessions will be held February 15, May 16, September 19 and November 14, 2024. Webinar events will be held on January 9, June 11, August 20 and October 22, 2024. 

Poster Session Presentations 

Utilizing visual aids such as graphs, charts, and images presenters display their research findings or project outcomes. Presenters engage with attendees in a conversational setting while sharing a concise summary of their research and its implications. 

Length: 30 minutes (informal)

Format: In person at the National Conference on Gambling Addiction and Responsible Gambling 2024 in San Diego, CA

Date: July 18 or 19, 2024.

Conference Breakout Sessions

Specialized sessions that allow attendees to delve deeper into specific topics, engage in interactive discussions and participate in hands-on activities. Conference Breakout Sessions may be led by a single subject matter expert or configured as a panel or roundtable with up to three speakers. Conference Attendees will choose from various Breakout Sessions tailored to their preferences and gain in-depth insights into niche areas on themes including Prevention, Recovery, Responsible Gambling and Regulation, Safer Sports Betting, Treatment and Populations in Focus.

Length: 50 minutes

Format: In person at the National Conference on Gambling Addiction and Responsible Gambling 2024 in San Diego, CA

Date: July 18 or 19, 2024.

Prevention Showcase Presentations

Highlighting problem gambling prevention initiatives, strategies and programs that have been successfully implemented within a community. 

Length: 10 minutes, followed by Q & A

Format: In person at the National Conference on Gambling Addiction and Responsible Gambling 2024 in San Diego, CA

Date: July 18 or 19, 2024.

Pre-Conference Workshops

Aiming to equip attendees with a deeper understanding of key subject areas and prepare them for active engagement and meaningful participation during the main conference program. These intensive workshops are designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge, practical skills and specialized training on specific topics relevant to problem gambling and responsible gambling. 

Length: 90 to 180 minutes

Format: In person at the National Conference on Gambling Addiction and Responsible Gambling 2024 in San Diego, CA
