It is a pleasure to invite you to submit a presentation or poster for the 2023 National Conference on Gambling Addiction & Responsible Gambling hosted by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). The conference brings together local, national, and international experts in responsible gambling and problem gambling. This year’s conference theme is Capital Ideas!
Digital Symposium: June 14-15, 2023 (online).
Main Conference: July 26-29, 2023, in Washington, D.C. (in-person).
Brief, single-presenter sessions that focus on the key takeaways of a specific topic, body of research, etc. These sessions are 30 minutes in length and are delivered live during our Digital Symposium. The 2023 Digital Symposium will be held on June 14 and 15, 2023.
Usually given by one presenter focusing on a specific topic, or configured as a Panel or Roundtable with up to three speakers. Breakout presentations are given in sessions of 50 minutes, which includes time for introductions and questions. These presentations will be delivered in Washington, D.C., July 27 and 28, 2023.
Presented during the 30-minute networking breaks and provide presenters with the opportunity to be seen by all conference attendees in a more informal and interactive venue. Poster presentations require the visual display of the essential contents of a paper (e.g., abstract, short narrative, enlarged graphs or pictures, and a brief conclusion). Poster presentations will be held on July 27 and 28, 2023.
Featuring selected prevention programs in an interactive session. Six presentations will be chosen for the Showcase. During the session, each presenter will have ten minutes to present their program. These mini-presentations will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A with session attendees. The Showcase will be held during one of the breakout sessions of the Main Conference. The 2023 Prevention Showcase will be held during the Main Conference on July 27, 2023.
Offered for intensive and specific skill development which incorporates hands-on exercises and a significant amount of attendee participation/interaction in a small group setting. Sessions are two hours in length. Participants must sign up in advance for a limited number of seats. Pre-Conference sessions will be held on July 26, 2023. Post-Conference sessions will be held on July 29, 2023.
