Conference Session Track Key

General Information

Presentations will focus on topics of general interest related to gambling addiction and responsible gambling. The goal of these sessions is to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of gambling addiction and responsible gambling practices, as well as to share best practices and innovative approaches to prevention, education, treatment, research and recovery.

Prevention

Presentations focus on innovative prevention programs and models that demonstrate results across different domains and populations. The goal is to improve skills and knowledge and provide resources for preventionists including community health and education providers, youth development professionals, public health professionals and alcohol, tobacco and other drug preventionists.  

Recovery & Community

Presentations focus on individual recovery from gambling addiction and community impacts of problem gambling. The goal is to improve skills and knowledge of recovery and provide resources for those impacted by gambling-related harm.

Responsible Gambling & Regulation

Presentations focus on developments in responsible gambling policy, programs, legislation and regulation. The goal is to improve skills and knowledge and provide resources for gaming operators and regulators including responsible gaming managers and professionals in compliance, government relations, marketing, community engagement, and operations as well as commissioners and regulatory agency staff.

Treatment

Presentations provide training, techniques and information on promising and proven advances in the treatment of problem gambling. The goal is to improve skills and knowledge and provide resources for treatment providers including psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, social workers, therapists and other behavioral health providers.
