This service is used by the National Problem Gambling Helpline Network Contact Centers to communicate with individuals who initiate contact for support with problems related to gambling.  Contact Center staff can answer questions about in-state resources, peer support and information.  Contact Centers may also assess suicide risk.
  2. You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text “STOP” to the short code. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to communicate with the National Problem Gambling Helpline again at any time, just send another text message to the short code to initiate a conversation.
  3. If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or you can get help directly by calling 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537).
  4. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  5. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies. You will receive messages only in response to your inquiries. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

The network is a single national access point to local resources for those seeking help with a gambling problem. The network consists of 28 contact centers that provide resources and referrals for all 50 states, Canada, and the US Virgin Islands.
