Although these platforms are often presented as financial or information-aggregation products\, many incorporate features associated with online gambling\, including continuous access\, rapid feedback\, repeated wagering opportunities\, gamified interfaces\, and incentives designed to sustain engagement. \nThis webinar\, led by Dr. Nizan Geslevich Packin\, builds on the recent Science Policy Forum\, “Prediction Markets as a Public Health Threat\,” examining why the rapid growth and mainstreaming of commercial prediction markets warrant attention from the gambling and public-health communities.
