Join Ted Hartwell for a webinar exclusive. He will share his story of exposure to gambling activities at an early age that led to a long history of recreational and then disordered gambling. Hartwell will also discuss the ingredients that came together to turn what was initially an entertaining pastime into a gambling problem that seriously impacted many areas of his life. Finally, he will talk about the defining moments that resulted in his seeking out help and engaging in a process of recovery that continues to this day.
Hartwell has been a member of the research faculty of the Desert Research Institute (DRI) in Las Vegas since 1991. He is a longtime member of the National Council on Problem Gambling. As a problem gambler in long-term recovery, he promotes awareness, prevention, and treatment of problem gambling for the Nevada Council on Problem Gambling, where he has developed gaming disorder and student-athlete gambling awareness programs.
