The Midwest Consortium on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse is proud to host the 16th Annual Midwest Conference on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse “Reflections and Destinations,” in Kansas City, MO. The Consortium is a collaboration of five Midwest states to include Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. It is the purpose of the Consortium to offer conference participants an opportunity to interact with a diverse community committed to making a difference and to learn from nationally and internationally recognized experts in the fields of gambling and substance use disorders.
Participants have the opportunity to learn from national and international educators, practitioners and researchers to discover resources, evidence-based or best practices that enhance the quality of services for persons with gambling and substance use disorders and their families, and to improve the quality of their interaction/work with individuals and communities impacted by these disorders.
The conference keynotes will feature Dr. Jeff Marotta, Maureen Greeley, Ms. Julie Hynes, Dan Trolaro, Dr. Rory Reid, Joseph Green and a delightful dessert reception hosted by Project Turnabout from Minnesota. Participants will have the opportunity to acquire 11.25 gambling-specific CEUs or a total of 14.75 GD/SUD CEUs.
