The Nevada State Conference on Problem Gambling is an annual education and outreach event for anyone concerned about this significant community health issue that affects the people of Nevada. The conference promotes awareness, education and professional networking, and attracts addiction and mental health professionals and interested stakeholder groups including Prevention, Education, Research, Government, Gaming Industry and the Recovery Community.
A key focus of this year’s conference will be the intersection of problem gambling and the legal community, and the creation of the first-ever adult Gambling Treatment Diversion Court in Las Vegas. Other presentation topics include secondary trauma, Enneagram, cultural competency, ethics, and stigma. Clinical professionals can earn up to 12 CEUs approved by the National Council on Problem Gambling and the Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Counselors.
