Hosted by Midwest Consortium on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse

The Midwest Consortium on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse (MCPGSA) invites you to participate as a sponsor at the 18th Annual Midwest Conference on Problem Gambling and Substance Abuse, which is scheduled for June 16-17, 2021. The conference will be held virtually this year to keep our attendees and sponsors safe. The theme will be “Celebrating Inclusivity and Hope: Recovery in Uncertain Times”. The two-day, virtual multi-state training event is the result of the planning efforts of the MCPGSA, a volunteer committee comprised of addiction specialists, problem gambling program coordinators and organizations throughout a five-state region – Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. The regional conference features up to 10 continuing education units (CEUs) provided by problem gambling, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders experts. In 2019, over 150 individuals attended the conference from throughout the country.

2021 National Conference on Gambling Addiction and Responsible Gambling. The theme is ‘Embracing Change Together.’ Due to the pandemic, all activities are online. The Main Conference with unlimited available seating will be held on four afternoons in July and recordings will be available for a limited time afterward to registered attendees. Intensive Seminars with limited seating will be held over the course of four afternoons in June. The exact dates and times are as follows:

Intensive Seminars

• June 16 – 17 from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm EDT
• June 23 – 24 from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm EDT

Main Conference

• July 14 -15 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm EDT
• July 21 – 22 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm EDT

Its theme is ‘Embracing Change Together’ and all the conference activities will occur online. The pandemic has also caused changes in how people can seek and receive help, and ways that responsible gambling and prevention programs can best be delivered.
