National Council on Problem Gambling Membership Program
Testimonial from a current Individual Member:
"Although the membership is National, it doesn’t feel so big that you don’t get to know the staff and other members. I have other national memberships for my profession, none of them provide the sense of “community” that the NCPG membership has provided. It is the first time in my career that I feel completely comfortable attending a National conference, by myself, and knowing that I will always have people to talk with, socialize with, and even network across state lines. My membership has helped hold me accountable to stay knowledgeable of the latest research, treatment interventions, and clinical resources. It has given me the credibility with my potential and current clients and their loved ones. My membership certificate hangs on my office wall where my clients can see that I really am serious about helping them treat their gambling problem. Resources on the website and immediate access to the Executive Director, Keith, and all of his staff are the biggest benefit of my membership. I have met so many wonderful individuals across the country that I would not have been able to meet without the common membership affiliation. I find the national conference to be full of great speakers and useful information."

NCPG has three classes of Membership: Individual, Organizational, and Affiliate. Membership offers substantial benefits and is required for anyone wishing to be nominated to NCPG's Board of Directors. Benefits include substantial discounts on the national conference, counselor exam, and literature, as well as providing subscriptions to important periodicals. See below for more information.
Individual Membership offers four categories: Individual, Individual Plus, Senior, and Student. In addition, in celebration of our 40th Anniversary Year, there is a special $40 Treatment Provider membership for certified or licensed treatment providers who are new members.
Joint Membership: For Individual members, we offer a substantial discount on Individual membership if you are a member of your Affiliate State Chapter. To contact the Affiliate in your state, please click here.
Organizational Membership is for corporations and other businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies, including Tribal government. There are three levels and nonprofits/government agencies may participate using substantially discounted rates. Depending on the level chosen, a number of staff or Board members are entitled to Individual Memberships as part of the benefits of the Organizational Membership.
Affiliate Membership is for the designated Affiliate Chapter in each state and is limited to one per state. Currently there are 37 Affiliates; if you would like to start an Affiliate in your state, please contact Keith Whyte, NPCG Executive Director at firstname.lastname@example.org or 202.547.9204.
