National Council on Problem Gambling Membership ProgramUpdated for 2013!
"Throughout my nearly 30 year career in the field of problem gambling, I have had many roles - student, clinician, researcher, advocate and administrator. One of the constants across all these roles was the invaluable support I received by being an NCPG member. Whether as a novice in the field or an "old timer," I have always been astounded at how easily accessible the leadership of the NCPG was and how readily they would connect me with the most knowledgeable people and resources in the field. I can always count on Keith to either know the answers to my questions, or know where to direct me to get the information I need in any of my problem gambling roles. Thank you NCPG." -Lori Rugle, Ph.D., ICGC-II
NCPG has three classes of Membership: Individual, Organizational, and Affiliate. Membership offers substantial benefits and is required for anyone wishing to be nominated to NCPG's Board of Directors. Benefits include substantial discounts on the national conference, counselor exam, and literature, as well as providing subscriptions to important periodicals. See below for more information. Individual Membership offers four categories: Individual, Individual Plus, Senior, and Student. In addition, in celebration of our 40th Anniversary Year, there is a special $40 Treatment Provider membership for certified or licensed treatment providers who are new members. Joint Membership: For Individual members, we offer a substantial discount on Individual membership if you are a member of your Affiliate State Chapter. To contact the Affiliate in your state, please click here. Organizational Membership is for corporations and other businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies, including Tribal government. There are three levels and nonprofits/government agencies may participate using substantially discounted rates. Depending on the level chosen, a number of staff or Board members are entitled to Individual Memberships as part of the benefits of the Organizational Membership. Affiliate Membership is for the designated Affiliate Chapter in each state and is limited to one per state. Currently there are 37 Affiliates; if you would like to start an Affiliate in your state, please contact Keith Whyte, NPCG Executive Director at ncpg@ncpgambling.org or 202.547.9204. Why you should be a member: increase your impact!
